The consortium members intend to disseminate the results and outcomes of this project through four main channels:

Publication in print of the written material, including guideline documents for curricula development and the Training of Trainers course, and the widespread distribution of the course book. The main target for this material will be students and staff in Egyptian and international higher education establishments and representatives of industry.

Posters, flyers and presentations will be used to inform other departments of consortia member institutions in Egypt about the project.

Developing an internet information server to provide information to all consortium members about the progress of the project will enhance dissemination of information within the consortia.  The web site created will also be used to disseminate the information to the general public and to promote e-learning for students through remote access.

Towards the end of the project, after the course structure is finalised, it is envisaged that the Training for Trainers courses will be made available for more general participation, in and outside the consortium.  This will be publicised through media channels, the mechatronics networks and public structures like the QAAP.

The dissemination will be carried out with, and supported by the Industrial Modernisation Centre wherever appropriate, especially information about the round table discussions, the student placements in industry and the feedback on needs from industry.

Appropriate national and international events will be targeted, were presentations and/or posters will increase awareness about the project.  Utilising the expertise of all consortium members to participate in international fora and thereby to facilitate dissemination of the project aims, methods, and results to a wider audience.  Many of these events bring together academia and industry, and will provide opportunities for dialogue, stimulate discussions and instigate future co-operations.

The Open Days and information events by the National TEMPUS Office in Egypt will be fully supported by all means possible and used to disseminate all appropriate information.

Starting date:

Year 1 M3

End date:

Year 3 M12

Related Assumptions

and risks:

The demands and needs by the different national sectors, e.g. the private business and higher education sectors, continue to be relevant after completion of the project; the project is completed successfully; Egyptian higher education institutions accept the new provisions as a valuable addition to their services.

Public interest in these fields remains highs

Activity title:

Dissemination of the written material in Egypt

Sub Ref. N°:

6.1

Starting date:

Year 1 M3

End date:

Year 3 M11

Description of the activity:

The Egyptian consortia partners will prepare presentations, and printed materials that explain the features and benefits of the study programme to higher education facilities, and compile a target list of potential implementers.  After completion of course descriptions and the book in a form suitable for dissemination outside the consortium, the material will be made available to all interested higher education institutions in Egypt, that are not part of the consortium. The documents will also be made available internationally through electronic means for interested universities and other stakeholders in higher education thus facilitating its adaptation and adoption in other educational settings.

The consortium member/s or experts who will carry out the activity:

All Egyptian consortia members

Mechatronics eV, E.ON Ruhrgas

Year 3 M12

Description of the activity:

The web-based information portal, to be created, will offer a knowledge base with free access to all consortium members (next activities, tasks, news etc.) as well as a means to facilitate group work on documents etc.  Public access will be limited to general project information and description, major results, methodology etc.

The management of the platform’s content will be part of the responsibility of the Egyptian consortia partners.
